Election Central

A university is a dynamic environment for political engagement and provides a unique space for intellectual dialog and public policy assessment. Providing opportunities for the campus community to engage with elected officials and politicians should be encouraged. However, because CSU is a public university, and a state entity, the University and the campus community do have certain policies and procedures to consider when engaging with politicians and elected officials. It’s important to know that federal, state and local laws, as well as CSU policy, apply to both the University and each individual on campus. Violation of some laws, could lead to civil penalties. Therefore, the Office of Government & Community Relations is here to assist the University community with outreach and communication with elected officials and politicians. By partnering with the Office of Government & Community Relations ahead of time, we can help guide you through the process and to a successful event.
